Come join us in celebrating all that is Spring and Nature at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy.
On Sunday, May 17, the Teaneck Creek Conservancy will be hosting a Spring Fest
from 11am to 4pm. The admission is free and open to the public.
Parking is available at 20 Puffin Way,(off Teaneck Rd next to the Enrite Gas Station) and at the north entrance of the park on Fycke Lane across from the Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
This annual event will feature some favorite activities such as guided trail walks, bird walks with the Audubon Society, and a children’s scavenger hunt with prizes, and woodcarving demo by local artist, Anthony Santella. Visitors can observe and perhaps join in restoring the famous Five Pipes murals. A very popular exhibit from last year, a live raptor show, will be featured at 2pm.
A few new events will be ongoing throughout the day: papermaking with Sandie Lee Butler, a vine sculpture workshop with Howard Berelson and Frank Ottochian, nature painting with free supplies, and beekeeping demos. Artists are encouraged to explore the Teaneck Creek’s natural beauty and join in a “Plein Air Paint Out”, an all day event.
