Cynthia Forster, Director, Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs
The Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs (DCHA) plays a leading role in helping build a flourishing cultural environment that benefits and distinguishes Bergen County as a New Jersey cultural destination.
Jim Hickey, Director, MoCo Arts Corridor Partnership
Joe Barris, Assistant Director, Monmouth County Division of Planning
Susan Pellegrini, Founding MoCo Member
MoCo Arts Corridor Partnership was presented as "New Jersey's model and a beacon for creative placemaking planning, intervention and sustainable development" during the 52nd Session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development.
Frank Huttle, Mayor, City of Englewood
Mayor Huttle is a strong advocate of the arts. He has been called the founder of the Bergen Performing Arts Center, spearheading the reopening of the John Harms Theatre in Englewood when the institution was endangered of closing its doors.
Valerie Vainieri Huttle, Assemblywoman, 37th District
Assemblywoman Huttle is a member of the Tourism, Gaming & the Arts Committee and serves as an Ex-Officio member of the New Jersey State Council of the Arts.
John Labrosse, Mayor, City of Hackensack
Hackensack is on the verge of a Renaissance. Redevelopment plans are underway and its downtown business group, The Upper Main Alliance is working with the National Consortium for Creative Placemaking to develop a creative team that will promote and invigorate arts and culture in downtown Hackensack and beyond.
The arts can help shape the social, physical, cultural, and economic identity of a community, spurring economic development, creating stronger social cohesion, and revitalizing disinvested communities.
